Metaltest's Photomicrographs are highly magnified images of the specimen surface. Revealing details as small as one micron in diameter, photomicrographs are used to analyze metallic grain size, delta ferrite contamination, micro-cleanliness and any other microscopic structures.

These scalable photographs are made at magnifications between 10x and 1000x, with the ability to make highly accurate micro-measurements, making them useful in failure investigations, process validation, and product approvals.

Many of the metallurgical tests performed at Metaltest will include a photomicrograph with the test report.
